Trail Crew Vacancies May 21, 2010

The Golden Cycling Club is now hiring for a trail crew to build 26 km of new single track this summer. Trail construction will begin May 31, 2010 and be of 8 to 10 weeks in duration. Positions will be full time but hours will be flexible. The rate of pay has been set at $15.00/hr.

Trail building can be miserable and you can expect to suffer through a multitude of sore muscles, minor cuts and abrasions, insect bites, and crappy weather. Not unlike an epic ride! If this appeals to you then you’re the person we are looking for.

Besides a strong desire to ride you will only need appropriate work clothing (gloves and work boots are essential). Chainsaw and brush saw certification and/or first aid certification are desirable but not required. You will also be expected to provide your own transportation to the Moonrakers.
